Training Programme on the WFTO Guarantee System
After some doubts and concerns on the new WFTO Guarantee System, raised by some of you during the last months, we have started a training session on the new WFTO Guarantee System in our newsletter. In order to allow you to access the training session easily and whenever you want, we have created a course on this website.
We hope that this will help clarify some of your doubts and that you will take some time to train yourself on this important new system which WFTO is extremely proud of.
Once the training session on the new GS finished, members will be given opportunity to do a final test, in order to see how much they learned about the GS and which are the areas they still need to improve in.
The training programme on the new GS is divided into 8 sections organised as follows:

- The Self-Assessment Report
- The Peer Visit
- The Monitoring Audit
- The Risk Assessment
- The Fair Trade Accountability Watch
The Training sessions were conducted during the first half of this year, published monthly via our newsletter. This training period finished in summer and all lessons are now available here on FairShare throughout the year for you. In addition, and especially in regard to the final deadline for starting the GS process by the end of this year 2015, we established a webinar. In 1,5 hours the WFTO-Europe office coordinator Francesca Giubilo will provide an overview of the system, give detailed information and explanation about the Self-assessment as well as the Peer Visit and Monitoring Audit processes and answer your questions. Therewith we aim to fully support you in going through the GS and becoming WFTO Guaranteed/Registered Fair Trade Organization soon!
The main objective of this training session is to help our members understand better our new Guarantee System (GS). The course will endorse most important components of the GS that are necessary to be understood by our members in order to allow them to fulfil the requirements, remain WFTO members and keep all the rights that go along with WFTO membership.
At the end of training session, there was a non-compulsory lesson.
This short summary test was supposed to enable our members to see how much they have learned on the guarantee system and which are the ares they still need to improve in and can still be condcted for those who wish.
